At the request and insistence of one-man-machine , I will be participating in this fun little meme, because I'm honestly overjoyed to hear someone care about the featured OC.

RBM shared 8 Snapple Facts with us about his gallery's reigning prom queen, Melissa Kato. And in equally kind spirit, he asked that my lesser featured panda samurai, Kuchiku the Ronin, get the spotlight! Here's a quick few features for those of you unfamiliar:





THE FACTS:

#1 - Kuchiku was originally not meant to be Japanese. Before I debuted her, I was drafting a kung fu character, absolutely Chinese in every regard as it just made since given that Pandas reside in China. I loathed every draft I did, but one one occasion I sketched in the straw hat. It was at that point I took a closer look and realized that Japanese elements might make her a better fit as a Haa immigrant. Although she's "Japanese," she's not really Japanese. Remember, she's in the same reality as Haa, and so she can't possibly be from a modern country! Rather, she's from the distant continent of "Ho", and hails from the country of "Sando."

#2 - Kuchi is inspired by MLB clutch-hitter and short-stop, Pablo Sandoval, formerly of the San Francisco Giants. How do we connect her to a husky Honduran baseball player??? I wanted to incorporate some element of San Francisco culture into at least one of my ideas. We ended up nicknaming Pablo "Kung Fu Panda" because he signed with the team when that franchise debuted, and like Po, he's a chubby guy who is surprisingly agile. I took the idea of a panda swinging a bat, turned it into a hot samurai chick, and just splashed on our team colors, Black and Orange, onto Kuchiku's gi. If you've been paying attention, you might also realize the origin of her home country...

#3 - Momma drama. Kuchiku's mother was a consort, one of multiple wives to her father, the Shogun. Kuchiku has a respectful yet distant relationship with her mother due to the latter's life as a geisha. Although her mother is nothing but proud, Kuchiku's personal convictions to rise above sexist societal limitations often puts her into conflict with her mom's comfort in her role.... however, Kuchiku as been known to utilize her beauty and feminine wiles to bait male opponents, and that reflective hypocrisy often leaves Kuchi questioning her own integrity, which just exacerbates the issue.

#4 - She's a talented brewer and a formidable drinker. Along with her combat prowess, Kuchi also picked up a few entertaining skills from her dad. She makes her own tea blends from scratch, and is pretty adept at brewing her own sake and plum wine. As a traveler, she keeps a consistent personal income by selling her exotic blends to foreign communities. And as far as hittin' the bottle, you won't be winning any bar bets wit her; Kuchi can knock 'em back with the best of 'em. When she's not choking fighters out, you can find her stacking pints with the likes of Bold'r and Tsai Lynz.

#5 - Grizzly in a Panda's body. She ain't no petity sweety; Kuchi's a respectable 5'11 and a solid 145 with shoulders and an ass. And her feet are an 11 narrow. This puts her a few weight classes above Nyrriva, whose tail makes up about a quarter of her already small frame. She inherited the stature from her father. As such she excelled at Jiujitsu and boxing, having the reach and the frame to take a beating as well as give it right back.

#6 - Slump-buster. Kuchiku's not a whore by any means, although she loves the adventure of finding good foreign dick (Z'nth in particular). However, growing up in her old-world, misogynist village meant way too many boys around her age, most of whom didn't like her because she broke from tradition..... and also, she would soundly whup each of their asses in a fight. But puberty makes us do strange things, and so these horny teen bear-boys knew that if they wanted to get their v-cards stamped, all they had to do was challenge her to a fight. When the opportunity presented itself, they'd hold and tickle her feet until she'd be forced to offer them a quality fuck for the liberation for her ticklish soles.

#7 - Hard-hitter. Kuchiku might be Japanese and female, but she is none of the clichés you'd come to expect. Kuchiku's swordsmanship is not a fancy, twirly, graceful dance like with rapier. She swings that katana with precise, calculated and devastating force. You may parry her effectively, but she will make sure that residual force is felt all the way to your bones. However, as a show of sportsmanship, Kuchiku will make up for her tenacity by varying her style to a reverse-blade when she competes with respected opponents. She will not spare you the aggression as she does not believe in half-effort, but she will ensure she does not deprive you of a limb or end your warrior's journey. This is her father's bushido, and she has made it her own.

#8 - The sword is strengthened by.... tickling????. Kuchiku's katana was forged by her father's most senior ironsmith, but at all times under the supervision of a baba fox. The witch blessed the sword with a hunger for forced laughter. Should Kuchiku find herself in L'fftah's, or anyone else's clutches, the blade will absorb her reluctant giggles endlessly until its fortitude is such as to make adamantium seem like cheap copper.
